I've been looking for more art references for duo because I feel like the styles I've considered so far are quite limited. A lot of my starting references came from a couple of Japanese art books, and I wanted to see what else was out there before settling on something.

I also wanted a way to heart specific images so I could pick what I liked and combine those ideas. I enjoy that part, being able to choose different things rather than feeling stuck with the first style I found.

But something I've noticed with the references is that a lot of them are fixed houses or rooms. Like a set box that looks nice, but stays the way it is. In our game, you customise the actual house you're in. The house itself is something you should be able to build and change.

That makes it a bit harder to judge a reference just by how much I like looking at it. I can like the colours or the way a room is drawn, but I still need to think about what happens when someone wants to add another room or floor. I don't want to settle on a style that only looks right when the whole house stays fixed.

I'm still exploring what that should look like. I just need the references to help me figure out a house you can actually change, as well as one I'd enjoy looking at.
